Since I got sick, I have been noticing more and more that my diet is not as it was, or should be. It’s not that I am bingeing (how do you spell that?) or anything, just that I am picking a little more, a piece of cheese here or an extra few pieces of sweet potato there … you know how it goes! I was still tracking and keeping pretty close to the 1200 calories but I knew I wasn’t eating as clean as I could be and I decided it was time to nip it in the bud before it got any worse.
And so, Accountability 101 was born.
I decided I would take a photo of everything I ate (and I mean everything!) and post it here on my blog and possibly in a couple of groups I belong to, thus making myself publically accountable. So here is my food for today 6 September …
The funny thing is, I truly thought I was keeping close to the calories but I couldn’t believe how many times today I stopped myself eating something small because I had to take a photo. Even then I was 127 calories over, but that’s okay – I went for an hour long walk this morning and Aqua Zumba tonight.
I am going to do this for at least a week. If nothing else it will make me aware of exactly what is going in my mouth. It will be interesting to see if it is reflected on the scales.
Oh and by the way, I drank 8 glasses of water but I didn’t have a chance to take the picture – tomorrow 🙂
I will also try to catch up on my photo a day challenge. Day 6 and I am already 3 days behind! – and just in case you are looking, they haven’t been posted yet 🙂

PS – a loss of 1.4 kilos this week, bringing me to a grand total of 23 kilos exactly .. and yes I am smiling 🙂
